Little Dancer

Little Dancer was composed for my son Julian; I started the piece while he was in the womb, and finished it just before his birth. “Little Dancer” was one of our nicknames for him after seeing him wiggle and dance during his first ultrasound. It has a simple arc, beginning gently and gracefully before giving way to more turbulent, energetic music, eventually returning to crystalline calm.
