Duo was composed for the wedding of my two close friends Kian Bergstrom and Ursula Ross. The first movement, Wave Collapse, is for Ursula, and the title makes reference to the collapsing of possible states of being for an elementary particle upon observation, alluding to her background in physics. The second movement, Froggy Style, is for Kian, and uses a leapfrogging technique; its title is taken from Rusty Cundieff’s masterpiece mockumentary Fear of a Black Hat.
