KaeBy mike In
Work Type: Chamber, Classical
Instrumentation: piano and cello
Duration: 8 minutes
Kae was written for the wedding of my friends Justin Houk and Laura Del Borgo. It takes its title from part of the phonetic spelling of ‘carillon’, as the piece itself is based on the imagined sound of distant bells. I consider Kae a dialogue, a call-and-response between the piano and cello, a conjuction of two distinct but complementary elements.
